GradPortal Resources for FacultyGradPortal is designed primarily to help students applying for graduate school by pointing students in the best direction for finding monetary support. If you are a faculty member helping minority students apply for graduate school, you will want to go to the appropriate faculty section via this link. If you are interested in recruiting graduate students from undergraduate programs with talented minority students and you have read the GradPortal section for faculty at research institutions, please proceed to the tutorial below. You may also want to refer to the relevant links page and this helpful list of universities. GradPortal Tutorial for Locating the Principal Investigators of Large Undergraduate Grants for Minority StudentsThe purpose of this tutorial is to show you how to find large grants that have been awarded by federal agencies to enhance the research and scholarly training of undergraduate students and which emphasize underrepresented minorities. Once a grant has been identified and the PI determined, the tutorial gives some hints on how to approach the PI to enlist her/his help in identifying promising students for your research program. The tutorial leads you through this process for the National Science Foundation. A similar technique can be used for many other federal agencies.
